E-mail (pop) missing?

After 2.1 update, my e-mail "looks" like it is missing. That is, when I open up the mail tool, there is no mail in any of the inboxes.

If I mount the SD card and look under the mail folder, looks like all the files are there! So why can't the phone see them?

I send myself a test e-mail, and that showed up, but it is NOT showing up in the mail folder on the SD card!

Does mail get stored somewhere else with 2.1?!?

Anyone know where mail is stored on 2.1? At least for me, it is NOT stored under .Mail on my SD card.
