Early upgrade promotion for Droid

So basically Verizon has sent out a card allowing for my number to upgrade to the droid or storm 2, still full cost, but still, I am considering it. it allows me to upgrade a good 6 months early.

I have the Curve as of now, love the emailing. But the droid is really really tickling my fancy. How does the push e-mail work for school accounts? That's my main email, and I love getting it pushed to my email. Is it on par with the blackberry? Anyone that has gone from the curve to the droid, please let me know.
