Root Easiest Root method

I would consider myself a android newb. I've previoulsy owned a Eris and rooted that but I have not rooted my Droid 2. I mainly want to root my phone so I can access the internel memory and store music / movies on the phone itself. So what is the easiest way to root for a newb?
