Root Easiest way to 2.2?

Ok so i just got my droid incredible in the mail. Not even actviated yet. Can someone give me step by step instructions on what to do to get 2.2 on my phone?

Since your on stock 2.1, apply the ota update. (22mb)

then you apply the leaked froyo ota (about 130+mb)

Ok thanks. Should i leave my phone on the charger while i do all this? And would it matter if i activate the phone 1st or not?

Leave it on. Activate it in order to get the first OTA, but it will get reset when you wipe it for Froyo install. You will have to activate it twice. The order is pretty much: First OTA> Leaked OTA>Root>Froyo. Guides for those are posted above.

It may seem like a lot, but it really isnt. You will be ready in no time. Plus with root, it opens up ALL kinds of possibilities.

Ok so now im at the clockwork mod recovery screen. Where do i put the 2.2 rom and how do i install it?

Hey, can you please update the URL to 2.2 ? There are some better ones (I think) out there, Adrynalyn has one and there's another about Stock 2.2 with Sense "Everything works!". Not sure if you're pointing to either of these ROMs.
