Been an jailbroken iPhone user for the last 2 years and just got my son a Captivate.

Apparently non market apps are blocked, I can turn that option off on my Xoom but not on his phone.

I have an new Atrix that should arrive next week. I plan on getting a little deeper into flashing and rooting then but for his phone I would really just want to turn this option on.

Whats the easiest way to enable this?

Call AT&T, they will push the update that allows non-market applications. Otherwise you can root and use SuperOneCllick to allow this option as well.

You can even have them push the ability using just the web support chat (did it just this week).
