I have a MyTouch 4G on the way.

I plan to just keep it stock, but I want to root and remove some bloatware and run some programs that require root.

What's the best/easiest way to permanent root if I'm not going to experiment with alternative ROMs?

I'd really like the least invasive way. I want something so that I can still get the next OTA without going through hoops getting the system back to a way to accept the OTA.

What about just using Visionary with it set up to temproot at each reboot? Any reason that wouldn't get me what I want? If I do that do I have to accept superuser permissions for all root programs after each reboot? I can see that being a PITA.

I'll screw around with my phone all day and have no problem using all of the various "hacking" tools, but this one is for my daughter. All I really want is for it to run the current OTA + root (mainly so I can backup properly).

I may just temp root with Visionary until the new OTA comes out officially and then perm root that.
