Hey guys, this was my second custom rom i have flashed and i noticed some things that made me think i did something wrong. in the screenshots of the rom, i notice that the lockscreen and a few other things have a certain texture. I didnt see that after the flash, the only thing that resembled the rom was the drop down menu with the checkered flag and the battery indicator. has anyone had this happen? I just flashed my recovery in case i screwed up.

edit: ok so now i cant get past the white screen with green htc. i tried to restore a backuup and it just didnt happen. i also tried flashing a different rom from the sd card but nothing. any help?

did you wipe data and cache?

sorry, not really familiar with that ROM.

and usually when you cant get the phone to boot, usually a data and cache wipe will fix it. but it is a little unusual that this happened after a nandroid restore. are you doing this manually in clockwork, or are you doing it through ROM manager? i have heard doing anything (flashing ROMs, and making/restoring backups) in ROM manager on this phone can cause issues. the only thing i use Rom Manager for now is to re-name a backup (that i made manually) and flash the latest clockwork recovery.

I flashed the Rom with Rom manager and checkedthe boxes to wipe. I didn't wipe when I tried to restore the first time but did several times after. In the end I finally reinstated the radio and flashed the Rom through recovery and it seems to have gone through fine. The right info comes up in software (it didn't the first time) but its still not looking the part and I haven't found any info saying it shouldn't.

The issue was more than likely ROM Manager. It's been known to cause problems in the past. I would suggest flashing things manually in recovery.

Curious what you mean by "reinstated" the radio? Do you mean flashed it again? Just an FYI an issue with your ROM will never be caused by your radio.

Glad you got everything working

I'll keep that in mind, I just flashed another one (im going crazy here with Rom flashing) manually and all went perfect. Could my backup have been corrupted? I can't seem to be able to flash it. And yea I mean flashed the radio.

Yeah the backup could have been corrupted, it has happened before but it is kinda rare. If you made the backup with rom manager I think it will be buried in sdcard/clockworkmod/

It sounds like you are getting used to doing the manual flash, that is a good thing I encourage you to keep up using recovery and manually flashing you will run into less issues that way
