I understand how to edit my User Dictionary. That's not the problem.

When I use speech-to-text, which is outstanding and rarely inaccurate, the system inserts "january, februray, march" rather than "January, February, March." Same thing for days of the week. It will even type "i" without correcting it to "I."

There are many words in the core dictionary that I want to edit. Anyone know how to get to the native dictionary file?

And although I can edit the user dictionary, I am a one of many former Blackberry frustrated that Android doesn't have an Auto-Correct feature that allows a user to type a custom string and replace it with a user-defined word or phrase. So simple and productive - how can that not have been developed by now?
