ok, so i have the htc inspire 4g on att and i find that when the phone rings in my pocket it is easy for me to hit the menu button and decline the phone call while i pull the phone out. i was wondering is there any way for me to either lock the hard buttons at the bottom of the screen when the phone rings or to remove that specific menu all together. im new to android so i'm not yet well read on all the tricks and everything else. if anyone can offer any insight, it would be appreciated.

There is an app called don't hang up this should prevent hanging up.

I think there was one called the easy answer button or something like that so instead of swiping up or down you have to press the button.

There is also an app called call confirm to help prevent pocket dialing.

I use Widgetlocker. It has a hide incoming call feature so you have to swipe sideways instead of up/down then it takes you to the incoming call screen where you can answer or decline the call.

You would need to root your phone and install a custom rom that does that. There might be an app that can do it, not too sure.

I had this same problem.... Taking the phone out of my pocket pulled the the slider either up or down, cuasing the phone to either answer or hang up. Talk about frustrating. I now use Easy Answer Button.
