Apps EditText's default text

    There's probably a quick answer to this one, but here goes:

    When you're composing a new text message and click on the "Tap to compose" box, you can see in the box the words "Tap to compose" in light gray, but they're only there when the box is empty.

    I'm calling it the EditText's "default text", but I'm not sure if there's something else it should be called, or if there's any properties within the EditText view that sets this "default text".

    Thanks a ton! I knew it would be one of those properties, but just scrolling through them none really jumped out at me.
