Anybody know any other devices similar to the OE? Found the LG Viper and ZTE fury, but they dont have custom roms, and i have a Samsung Desire but dont know if it have custom roms and its 2.3.6.. Just trying to learn how to import roms or rom just for the fun of it.

If you are looking for port bases, I've had the most luck with the optimus black, optimus l7 and the Xperia mini

If you have the $25 VM plan, then the most modern phone allowed on that plan is the ZTE AWE. I think work has just started on building ROMs for that phone.

LG Optimus V, One, S, and U. Maybe Optimus Net too.

I think Elite is a couple steps above those phones BTW.

I recommend lurking through the 3 main trustables: xda, AC and AF. Personally I use AC but I'm really seeing good things from all 3 now.
