Woke up this morning and checked my email. I get this message:
"com.android.email has stopped unexpectedly". Everything worked fine yesterday.
I've been running the OS update since it was released on Fri.
I've restarted the phone a couple of times. Not sure what to do next.

Ditto. I can't login without SSL encryption enabled, because it says my login info is incorrect. If I try to login with SSL encrption enabled like it's supposed to be, the mail app force closes with the same message.

Does anyone have a solution to this? I don't want to spend money on getting my work email through my phone, so all those paid apps are out of the question for now.

I get the same message even though I am syncing just fine with my Gmail account.
What is this message about?
Is it a different email program than the one I'm using to sync with Gmail, or is it the same one, being interrupted by some other app using all my bandwidth temporarily?
It has no effect on my GMail account, but it's annoying the way it pops up all the time.
I do have two email icons, one for gmail (red), and another one (yel), seems to be built in and not removable.
Is this the culprit?

I've got the same problem but only on one of 4 email accounts my droid checks. After about 20 seconds in the app with one partiular email account...android mail just crashes. I'm using a Galaxy S.
