Help Email app questions

O.K. perhaps a bit of a newbie question - but having some issues with inline pictures with the email application. I am on Gmail....and using the email application. When I go on the phone using the browser to gmail I can see the pictures, when using the email app I cannot. Two questions.

1. Is there a difference between the email app that comes with the phone and the Gmail app. I have a Gmail email address and no other email accounts.

2. Are there other apps that are better about inline images?

I'm having the same issues. I checked all the settings but couldn't find anything that allowed for images to show up.

Try k-9 email, you'll thank me later

Totally agree on K9 Mail - but there is a separate GMail account setting than the POP3/IMAP... The GMail setup is very slick - allowing almost 'push' style messaging like the BlackBerry.

You should see the "GMail" icon in the program list. Just set it up and poof... off and running...
