Email Delete from phone but stay in Gmail account.

Is there a way to delete email from the droid but have it stay in my gmail account? I want it to be how the blackberry is set up were it gives you the option to delete out of both phone and gmail account or delete from phone and stay in gmail account. Thanks

The only way I can think of to make this happen is to set up a folder on gmail and instead of deleting the mail on gmail, change the label to that folder. That way you can still go back and see it on your droid and it doesn't show up in your inbox. You can then delete it later on gmail (or the droid) as needed.

The only thing that comes close to what you want is to archive the emails. It will take it out of the inbox but still show up when you view it in "All Mail"
