    any ideas anyone?

who to enable monitoring and notification of email in imap folders other than inbox?

I'm assuming there is no imap push email just a check every 5 mins

OK I might have found a solution to this (for anyone who comes searching on the keywords IMAP folder notification and PUSH email

download the email app K9 - website says it does both - configuring now looks promising

K-9 should sync your folders as well.

    folder sync sorted and push

but now I can't find how to disable email notification at certain times (ie through the night - you don't need email chiming on your phone)

    and

sent email goes to a sent folder but my mail provider has a "sent items" folder on the server - not sure how to route to this?
