Help Email issues

So I put my university email address on the default email client and everything was working fine at first. Then earlier today I noticed that the email was no longer updating. I turned off and turned back on the phone, and now while the email is updated with new messages, I can no longer open ANYTHING in email. I get the loading screen and it just sits there, never loading the message. I have not rooted the phone but I did get the OTA update. The last successful email I got was yesterday morning.

If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it.
