Help Email Problems - Note 3 Android 4.4.2

I'm using Samsung Note 3 with Android 4.4.2.

Often don't get any emails whatsoever in the Samsung email program.
I have one Gmail and one Yahoo accounts on there.
My phone is set to sync email (Automatic push).

Quite often neither emails accounts come through on the phone - even the Gmail - and in some cases I'm getting emails 24 hrs later.

Is there a fix for this?

I'm coming from a Blackberry where these things always "just worked"...at least for me....so this has been a very frustrating "upgrade".

That sounds like an app issue (the Samsung mail app) rather than the servers.

For Gmail use the Gmail app - not a generic email app - and it will indeed "just work".

For non-Gmail email there are many approaches; I use Google's server-side email checker to pick up email from other servers and forward it to my Gmail account so I use the Gmail app for all email, but you could also try one of the many good email apps available on the play store.

I've also found Samsung email the same, push notifications are unreliable. Like John, I suggest using the Gmail app for Gmail. And my QQ email I do via WeChat.

I use Maildroid, never had a problem
