    hello

I've had my HTC Desire S for a week now and still can't get it to accept my VirginMedia (@ntlworld.com) email account. It's ok on Hotmail & Googlemail. No combination of parameters works. My mobile nework says it's an issue for my email provider to sort out and my email provider points the finger to my mobile network.

    Can anyone resolve this?

    Welcome to the forum.

What's happening when you try to setup? Is it giving any error messages or is it you just aren't you able to send/receive mail.

Also, is it with the app that came on the handset? Have you tried something like K9?

You might want to check the Desire S subforum to see if any other users are having similar issues: HTC Desire S - Android Forums

Does VirginMedia use non-standard ports for their email servers? You may need to enter the information manually.

I found this help file from Virgin and it says incoming POP is port 465 and outgoing is 995
