Hi :) I just bought an android phone on black friday :) But I set up my email with the email app that came installed on the phone, and it keeps saying that the emails did not send :( It receives emails fine, but just won't send. :S I've tried sending about 15 emails, and only one went through. Can anybody help me with this? Thank you :)

Go.to your server and check the settings. Match the settings to your phone if its gmail enable imap

Thank you for the reply. :) It's not a gmail or hotmail or any web based email, it's my email from my home internet provider.

B tw not all allow imap for instance but most have specific encryption settings at the server that will need to be matched to the phone

I'm really new at this, so could you provide any info on how to do that? When I set up my account I looked up the POP server and the smtp server from my email provider and typed it in to my phone email settings. Is that what you mean? Thanks!

every server is different and not allow imap for free for instance which in general is best for multiple devices and not allow pop aka just webbased. Ok with that said log into your server or contact them and match whatever their settings are to your phone (btw same can be said about outlook). anyways you have to manually configure the settings both general and advanced settings to your server.

Also, some service providers may use different server settings (ports, security, server names) for mobile devices vs desktops or laptops. Time-Warner's Road Runner is an example. Just check with your ISP and make sure you have everything setup properly. We have no way of knowing.
