I created an email account (to gmail, but setup as imap so it could use my personal domain name) - and everything works. But I'm left wishing the UI was more customizable.

Specifically, the inbox seems to show me who the messages were sent TO (ie. me), not where they came from. Actually, I really wish the inbox view was something like:

    So.... is there either:
    (1) a way to get the native email app to display messages in a folder something like that?

    (2) another email app (Thunderbird for android perhaps?) that will??

Maildroid has the option to open a combined inbox and it shows who sent the email, not the recipient.

Odd. My Gmail app shows the mail title, the name of the sender and the date it was sent.

Another option you can try is K-9 Mail (100% free). ;)
