Everyone in my family has an optimus s and so far, no major issues. But my mom's phone keeps getting a low storage notification, and she's deleted most of her apps, texts, pictures, etc. I checked the size of the apps and found that her email app is taking up 59mb. Mine takes up 2mb, so I know this is what's causing the problem. I made sure all her POP/IMAP settings were set to limit the amount of messages but it's still taking up 59mb.

She has 3 email accounts linked to it, and I deleted the IMAP trash folders on all of them but that didn't affect the size either.

    Any thoughts?

Dunno, but when I first synced my droid email, it dug up a ton of mails that were in my PC’s Outlook subfolders, also connected. Tons of them, never checked the size. So I moved that stuff off my PC and they still kept showing up for a while. Anyway, is whatever she’s synced to full of stuff?

I don't konw either. My stock email app is taking up 3.26MB along with 2.66MB of data. I have two email accounts on it, a gmail account and a Hotmail account. I've got tens of thousands of emails in the inboxes (and sent mail, and saved mail) folders of those accounts, but only some recent emails get pulled into the Optimus S. (Of course you can scroll back in time and get older emails from the server.)

That must be what I did without trying; I had mails appear as far back as 2002, which made for some interesting reading.
