That's the same reply I got when I asked over the phone. Although vm acknowledged that the V was going to get the GB update, "they had no timeline as to when" this was a couple months ago I asked about that

Interesting. Is there a reason they're delaying the update? I would think that having updated Android OS would be good for business.

It's coming.... soon. "Soon" does not imply any particular date, time, decade, century, or millennia in the past, present, and certainly not the future. "Soon" shall make no contract or warranty between LG and the end user. "Soon" will arrive some day, LG does guarantee that "soon" will be here before the end of time. Maybe. Do not make plans based on "soon" as LG will not be liable for any misuse, use, or even casual glancing at "soon".

Funny how that same principle doesn't seem to apply when WE tell them they can expect to receive their payment real SOON !? Just a thought...

I read that Sprint began rolling out the GB update to the Optimus S phones on 9/14 over a 10 day period. Can VM updating the V be far behind ( since VM USA is Sprint)?

It depends on how smoothly the update goes for their customers. They don't push it out for everyone at once, but in waves instead. So like the first wave of customers will get theirs... then Sprint waits for the customer service calls to come in where people are asking for help or whatever with the new update. Once that calms down and their customer service departments aren't bogged down with calls anymore, they'll push the second wave. Rinse and repeat. It's a long process and one we will have to be patient with. ;)

    Here ya go. :)

Not sure what I want from any of that though. As long as they don't screw up the incoming call screen by taking out options (like speakerphone), I'll like them all hehe.

Edit: I will like having the black status bar!

Hmm. Don't see anything that would really improve the V experience...only have one camera, use Swype keyboard, use a launcher so the UI stuff doesn't really apply...also use GrooveIP so the new SIP stuff won't do anything for me either.

    Thanks for the info :)

They're probably delaying the update since it is causing so many problems with sprint phones.
