I agree.... 3/4 of not knowing when its coming out is pissing me off. If its gunna be 6 months then i wanna know so i can get a different phone. If its gunna be a week or two then i'll wait.

Im just not sure what to do...I can get the phone through any Sprint location...sign up under 2 year contract....get the $125 port in credit...then migrate my plan over to SWAC under my friends employee account later on...OR just wait till its available to employees and sign up and have NO 2 year contract..... ugh!

My problem is my employee recently quit but I am eligible for an upgrade anyways at it has been 25 months, however I have to get the upgrade through him since i am on a SWACC account. I am really screwed, however I may be able to get the upgrade once it has been thirty days since he quit

I went ahead and signed a contract and am using my company discount (25%) instead of SWAC and picked up the phone last night.

This way I get the $125 credit and I will get to upgrade at the end of 1 year as opposed to 20 months (this change coming after Oct 1.)

    Sweet phone!

I wonder if I will be able to just upgrade since the person I am on the SWACC account with has quit. I am not sure what is happening with my monthly bill

This is the same thing I have. Except, I don't have access to Plus yet, because as a Tech I haven't been selling phones. Going to get a few out now though so I can get access. Won't take long. :D

3rd party employee plan. I work for a Sprint store as a tech, but it is franchise owned. $20 month + $10 premium data = 3000 landline min, unlimited text, unlimited data.

It might be different. The upgrades I get are every 6 months through Sprint Rewards Me Plus. The Epic Touch 4G was already available on there last I looked.

Doesnt look like this phone will be available for at least another month or so. I am going to go with the photon and maybe try and trade it for the touch with someone on CL. Unless I fall in love with it which sounds possible.

Or just upgrade to the photon, put it on CL for about $350 and pay the difference. That's what I usually do

so you would get the photon pay the 200 bucks then go sell it online for 350 or 400 and then come back and buy the epic outright at 500? i'm curious tho. If you guy the epic outright at 500 do you still have to pay the 300 dollar difference?

I just talked to a rep and he said if you did that it wouldn't matter because they won't let you put the epic on the account until its released to employees.... so yea i'm fu*ked.

When are yall going to learn half of these reps have no idea what they're talking about? They said the same thing when the Evo came out. I bought it DAY ONE, called SWAC and they activated it without a problem. Same with the Evo 3D. Got it, called and they activated it. They're not going to BLOCK ESN's from employees to keep them from being able to have the phone they just aren't going to let you upgrade to it until they feel like they've already made their money from full paying customers. People say this everytime a new phone comes out and its just not true lol. There are already people on SWAC accounts that bought this phone outright and are using it.

I'm on an employee plan, and they told me I had the option to buy the Epic 4G touch full retail price and activate it. I just can't get the upgrade discount until it is made available to employees, which is 30 or 60 days depending on demand for the phone.

I talked to the employee i have my plan with and he said its not going to be that long.... If the iphone comes to sprint there is going to be a halt in epic sales and it will come to employees sooner.

when the iphone comes out ppl are going to jump all over it just because its an iphone which would slow down epic sales.... you don't understand how that works?

Of course, E4GT sales may be impacted. It simply sounded like you were stating that Sprint was going to halt sales when the iPhone came out.
