Can someone point me how to do it step by step?
You cannot emulate Galaxy (or any other phone for that matter). If you need it for app development purposes, use the emulator shipped with the SDK. That emulator doesn't emulate any physical device. It just emulates Android platform on your computer to ease up the development process. This consequently means that there is no guarantee your app will work correctly on any particular device if it's working correctly on the emulator, so you still need to test it on a actual device.
It is not for the development,
I wanted to use emulator to preview various applications before installing them on phone.
Sort of "peek before install"....
Any way to do this?
Sure. You can use emulator for that too.
Everything you need to know about it is here:
Android Emulator | Android Developers
The emulator does not include Android Market by default, but there are ways you can install the market on the emulator (just copying the apk of the Market app won't do the trick). Read here: Android Tips for Developers: Android Market on Emulator
