Just got this phone today and I thought it might be a good idea to enable a PIN and then encrypt the phone's data. Seemed like a good feature and then I finished the process, the phone rebooted. Seemed normal enough. It reboots, asks for a password but I enter my PIN, as only the numeric pad shows, then it reboots a little more and goes to my lock screen and asks for the PIN again, still seems easy enough. Then the phone appears to be rebooting as normal and then just suddenly reboots (all the way from the beginning). It's been doing this in a loop.

Yea I tried encrypt months ago when I first got it. It failed to lock the sdcard, erased all the contents. Good thing I had it backed up, I've never tried this feature again. I just use "smart app protector" & "blue tooth file transfer" to encrypt files on sd, and lock certain apps. Both are free in the market!
