Menu - Settings - Location - Enable GPS satellites

It states that enabling this will "require more battery plus view of sky"

When checked, it states "deselect to conserve battery"

So, the question is, should this be enabled?

I imagine for some applications, knowing your precise location should be useful, especially if the turn-by-turn maps are installed and used.

I'm thinking to deselect this, and selecting it at times when I need it.

So, to check or not to check?

    Thoughts?

I only select mine as and when needed.
    Which is for map reading.

I leave mine deselected unless i need it - you will only really need it if youre using google maps or some other app that needs to track your location (and even then you can get approximate location without GPS).

There's a nice little HTC widget that comes with the phone for enabling/disabling GPS - probably worth sticking that on a home screen somewhere.
