Help enabling "use packet data"

i select "use packet data" but the phone appears to never store the setting.

the only way i seem to be able to 'fool' the phone into using it is to enable "Mobile AP" and then the option appears to save and allows 3G etc to be used. But this doesn't seem to stay selected once the phone is turned off and on.

Is this just me or have i messed up some other settings elsewhere?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

reflashed with I5800XWJPF and seems fixed now
