Finally had sucess. Took a while, but I think I was rooted in the first place. nightmare but many thanks for the help

Followed your instruction. Faslh clockwork mod recovery installed ,but when I go to bootloader and click recovery, it boots the nexus logo and the unlocked pad lock. The triangle does not appear. Only was to power up normal is to remove the battery.

Try and flash the recovery again?

Or even a different one, Amon-Ra's is extremely popular.

This is normal. Recovery has been replaced, so it wont boot into recovery like it used to. How long did you give it? If you let it continue loading for a minute, it should come up with a menu written in green text.
