Epic 4G Problems (USB DEBUGGING) for root PLZ HELP!!

So i have an Samsung Indulge 4g and i rooted it and its fine. But wen i try to root my Epic 4G its not working. I downloaded the drivers needed and nothing happenes. When i check the USB Debugging box and put the usb in the phone , Nothing shows up in the toolbar except USb connected. No Usb Debugging picture shows up in the toolbar. This works for my Indulge but no my Epic. Plz help. It would be very appreciated

When I had this trouble I used wife's blackberry cable after a battery pull and worked fine for me. Hope it helps you.
