I have a Moto Droid and was just playing around with my friends Droid Eris. I really like the HTC widgets (calender, email, txt and such). Has anyone gotten those onto the Moto Droid or found any like them?

They have some Sense UI "like" widgets on the market, but the majority don't run as smooth as the actual Sense UI widgets.

If you really like it then I would suggest switching to the Eris.

I wouldn't suggest this at all. Sense UI (with widgets) is currently being ported to the Droid (currently on Pre-Alpha X2). It works fine and is fast, but currently you have to disable 3g to get the phone to work. The members of the team and members of XDA are working on the calling issue now. Please note, everything I just said WOULD require root, so do so at your own risk...

Rom can be found at Alldroid.

Yes. Rooting would be your only other option.
