I have had my eris for a week now and noticed that it has developed a clicking noise on the right side of the battery cover. Whenever i hold it in a vertical position, you can here it click. You can actually see the batt cover move just a little bit. Is anyone else having this issue. I know that it is a small thing to complain abt, but that clicking is annoying.

I havent had the problem, but Verizon is usually really good about replacing the phone if there is something like this wrong. If you have a store near you I would recoment bringing it into them ... they will make sure the phone has not been in contact with water and have a replacement mailed to you. I have a similar problem with a prior phone and it was replaced.
  3. Try re-seating your battery cover. First time I put the cover on, I noticed this. I took it off put it back on, and it's been perfectly fine since. I don't think I had something snapped into place tightly the first time around. I just popped my protective case off my phone and checked, and yeah, still just fine.

I've noticed that the volume button on the side is a little loose and makes some noise, especially if the phone vibrates.

Hmm...may be the snaps are a little loose? Mine is nice and snug with no clicks. I would see about swapping it out. :)

I've had my phone for a week now and noticed the clicking noise. It seems that the heat from the battery might be causing the cover to warp, as it did not allow the cover to sit firmly on the phone. Anyway, called VZ, they opened a ticket and instructed me to got to a VZ store, which I did...And sadly I was not completely satisfied with the method the tech used to fix the issue.

He did indeed see the gap between the phone and cover, but the clicking was not as pronounced as the phone had been on standby for awhile and was cold. So he goes in the back room and brings out this cruddy return phone, pulls the cover off of it, and snaps it to my phone. Problem resolved...not quite. Aside from the fact that the cover was all scuffed up, I still see a little gap, which tells me this might be an issue with the phone.

Anyway, going to give it another week, if the issue worsens, VZ had better be ready to send me a replacement.

    Later guys and gals,

I ALSO have this VERY ANNOYING clicking. I can actually feel the battery cover squeeze in when I squeeze the right side (the opposite side of the volume buttons) and it makes some noise. There's some give.

It's most apparent when I first pick up the phone when I start typing in the middle-right side of the screen. Very annoying, and embarassing when I'm showing off my phone.

I've been attributing this to the fact that I've dropped the phone on its bottom right corner before, but I have been starting to think it's not related.

Maybe getting my Seidio 3500mAh battery with replacement cover will fix it? Or a stock replacement cover? I hope so.

I've had a similar problem with my palm centro a couple of years ago. The way I fixed it was to take a small piece of paper, fold it, and place it in between the case and battery. It took a couple of tries, but it took all of the creaking out of it.
