I'm sort of new here, so I'm not sure on the posting edicate in these forums. Been liking everything about my Eris so far. And the multimedia capabilities are actually fairly good. Its no iPod, but you can't beat convenience of having only one device. Anyhow, I have a question about the Bluetooth audio capabilities. I was possibly thinking about getting a new radio for my Ford Escort. One specifically that has built-in Bluetooth capabilities for voice and music audio through the radio. *Note I haven't actually bought the radio yet, so I have no way to test if its a phone or some other problem at the moment*. I tested the Bluetooth audio function through my computer through a Bluetooth dongle, but it seems it will stutter randomly, even when the phone is seemingly is doing nothing. It does it at the beginning of songs, which I can live with, but sometimes just randomly it will stutter in the middle of a song for a second which as you can imagine gets pretty annoying. However, if I check the CPU usage, it will usually be somewhere between 40% or 70%. So its not as if its getting choked. But another thing I'm wondering if I'm misdiagnosing it as being a phone fault, but actually my computer being too old (6 year old Dell Dimension intel Celeron) and struggling to keep up with Bluetooth audio. Coincidentally, the audio will sometimes stutter if I'm loading a new webpage or scrolling fast. The CPU usage skyrockets to 100% on the computer, so it may be falling behind on the Bluetooth service. *Also, I listened to Running Down a Dream by Tom Petty, and apparently that played flawlessly except for the normal beginning stutter. Unlocking the screen apparently makes it stutter horribly, but it loaded a image heavy page over 3G without stuttering once. So it might be the computer just being too slow or having unstable reception (the dongle is on the BACK of the computer). Otherwise, Bluetooth works fine, it paired fine, and the audio quality is top notch on my computer speakers except for when it stutters. That's a lot of text, but I just don't want to go all out on buying a radio for functionality that doesn't even work properly. If someone could explain their experiences with Bluetooth audio on their Eris' it would help me a lot.
