General Eris coming some time next week, Rooting question

    Okay, So i'm ordering my Eris on sunday when i get a break from work. Now since i'm ordering it will i get a referb or a new one from the box(more likely)? Also, will this Eris be on Bootloader 1.49 or 1.47(if its a new one from the box)?

    Unfortunately, right now it looks like it could go either way. Best of luck with snagging a rootable one.

    Thanks, I keep hearing about people getting referbs with 1.47 but never a new one. Heres hoping that it has 1.49(or is it the other way around?) i already have the "all in one" root script. and the correct pb00img(md5 hash 63eacc5ede3b179f95dc22d8ef585f94) And the Android SDK

    Oh I thought you were talking about ordering a replacement phone. Since you're ordering a brand new phone, it could still go either way with what's loaded on it.

    To root, you'll need no later than 1.47 bootloader. Best of luck.

    Another question. What is Nexus?(its mentioned in the extras for the all in one root script)

    Thanks for the quick responses. I'm hoping to Root my phone.

    IDK. The only "Nexus" I know related to Android is the Nexus One phone from Google.

    Yeah it mentions the "Nexus Launcher" and "Nexus photo gallery"

    Oh, those are add ons from the Nexus One that you can use on the Eris. Basically replaces stock launcher and gallery apps.
