Help Error message

Hello all,

Newbie to Android here. Nexus S with 2.3.6 and just recently getting error message flashing on screen "Coludn't connect to the internet, please check your connection" Yes - I spelled it EXACTLY as it appears..."Coludn't". My WiFi connection is fine and I can browse....sometimes webpages may load slow but this this message appears and there is nothing wrong with the connection.

Anyone seen this before and can help?
