Root Error on attempt to put rom in

Hey, I'm helping my friend install a new rom on his Droid X because the GB update messed his phone up. The Recovery version is 2.xxxx. I have Team Liquid's rom which won't install and it says

"E: failed to verify whole-file signature"
"E: signature verification failed"
"Installation aborted."

CAN SOMEONE GIVE ME A SOLUTION

NO the Phone keeps turning off and on to the motorola red logo and wont go any further

You are bootlooping. You will need to wipe all you data by going into stock recovery. Do this by holding the home button and power at the same time. When you see the android triangle let the buttons go and press both volume up and down at the same time. You need to navigate down using the volume down button to wipe data/factory reset. Press the power button to select. Once this is finished you should be able to boot up. If not you will need to Sbf the phone. Check the guides for all the instructions on how to do this. More than likely ur going to have to SBf it to the .602 then root it again then make sure u wipe data and catcha* (sorry for the spelling) then try and load up liquid gingerbread 3.1 all the things u need r on the sticky's at the top of the root section that should help

@mat I think I have tried this but I will do it again and if I and .602 does it matter if i root it with 4root and one click root and stuff like that does that effect it

if you are getting a signature problem then someething was done to the rom prior to installing, and its failing because of that, android will not install anything that isnt signed.


redownload the rom, or try a different one, and it will install, just make sure you wipe data and cache first

Thanks for everyone help it was the sbf file so I had to sbf it. To .602 And does anyone know where I can find signed rome

Non of the 1-click on phone wont work on any of the gb read the sticky's up top of the rooted section

the rom and theme list has all the roms for the DX and themes available for it. its in the sticky at the top of the page.
