I recently stumbled on the EventGhost for Android App. It is a remote for the pc app EventGhost. Free and open source :)

Using these two you can control just about any device in your house (x10, tcp, IR) and any program on your pc(s). You can also control your xbox media center, projectors, receivers, and more.

You can use a lot of input devices as well... not just your droid.

Set up was very easy on both sides.

Very cool program with tons of potential for home automation, remote pc control, remote device control, lots of automation, and much more... Python is the native scripting language for it, making things even easier...

One last thing... I was able to get Locale to trigger events on the system using the 'http post plugin' for locale..... When i come home... the lights come on! Sweet!

Where is the download link for android?

As neither of the other 2 members has been active here since 2011 it's unlikely they'll answer.

But searching the Play Store for "eventghost" found the app in question for me.
