1500mAH 2 Battery + Charger For Verizon HTC Droid Eris - eBay (item 280483390433 end time Mar-24-10 16:00:33 PDT)
Here it is, plus you should get an extra 1-3hrs from a 1500mah battery over the stock 1300
took my phone off the charger lastnight about 9pm and went out lastnight with lots of phone calls and texts and was too drunk to put it on the charger (lol) and woke up this morning and still going with 58% left. Is that reasonable?
I just ordered this a few days ago - My two eris' came with a friggin1100mAH!!! lol, had to get something - battery was/is driving me nutz!!!!
WOW is it really 1100?? I thought they were 1300. I have never really looked .
Yeah...Use it as you would normally, don't try to discharge it on purpose let the battery run its course the way you normally use it. What they mean is don't expect to get the full range straight out of the package, it'll take a week or 2 before the battery is performing as it should.
I bought the Seido 1750 the other day for $41 + shipping from Amazon and it came about half charged. After a full charge I got around 32 hours with everything turned on and moderate use before it auto-shut down. I plan to charge it earlier from now on, but wanted to get a good baseline established.
I have always operated under the assumption that these batteries build memory with each charge and the best way to get their full potential is to let them run out as much as possible (without draining completely) before recharging. Is that old knowledge?
I just installed the "Battery Left" widget last week, and they tell you to run down the battery to get an accurate baseline with your battery. I was able to get 30 hours with the 1750. I have a weak-ish signal here, and use WiFi for networking almost all of the time.
That's no longer true with these batteries. They are generally happier taking a lot of trickle charges than huge full charges, though, in the end, I think long-term life is not all that different either way.
Saying that, I believe a full discharge is useful every once in a while to train the internal battery sensor in the phone what its true life really is. Once every couple of months or so is probably enough.

I ordered this on April 6th and should get it anyday now. Two batteries an s chager for $17.50.
I finally bit the bullet today and ordered my 1750mah from Amazon. I refuse to disable the features that make the phone smart, such as push email and the weather widget. And although I can make it through a full day of moderate use with the stock battery, I can't make it with heavy use, or with any long phone calls. I think the 34% boost is exactly what I need.
