Help Everything is a slide show? Txting

Im using the stock sms/mms client and Im really getting tired of everything I send and receive (Pictures.... Even if its only one) being turned into a slideshow. Is there a way to turn this off?

I get how a slideshow function could be nice but its mms... How many photos are you really gonna get/send in one txt?

I vaguely remember there is a setting for default messaging format: MMS vs. SMS -- for attachments.

If you find that setting -- or otherwise solve this problem, please report
back so that can all "remember."
