I've been on so many of these forums and the common problem has always been that this stuff is written BY those 'in the know' FOR those 'in the know'. Then a few of the nice guys try their best to write moronified versions or step-by-steps for those who are NOT 'in the know'.

Maybe folks can pitch in to this thread just by putting links to very specific posts in threads here where the instructions, tutorials or info that is no doubt already somewhere on this forum can be found. Remember, noobs like myself aren't stupid, we just don't know what the hell you're talking about. So please don't use acronyms and such, as most of us noobs simply don't know the jargon.
