Root EVO 3D ROM's?

There are plenty of cool JB EVO 3D ROMs but they seem to all say they need Hboot 1.49.xxx is there anyway around this, I already tried to flash LiquidROM and SlimROM and get (status 7) installation aborted with both?

There is no way around the lowered hboot requirement. That being said, 1.49 is a GSM hboot. That's the required hboot for GSM versions of the Evo 3d. If you flash that, you will surely have a perma brick on your hands!

For Evo V (CDMA) hboot 1.50 or below is required. S-off required.

Yeah, I ALMOST flashed a GSM hboot once. Then I was like

whoa fella.

And didn't.

It IS possible to port from GSM to CDMA...but I don't know how, really, other than replace libs and whatnot...but again, I don't know fully how to do it.
