Better late than never...got this Evo 4G extended battery and replacement back cover for $8 + $3 shipping from Amazon. After 4-5 full cycle charges, it's giving me 2 full days of life after HEAVY use. The back cover is perfect and makes the phone much easier to use (for me anyway). Hey, for $8 who cares if it doesn't last forever? Amazon.com: HTC Evo 4G 3500mAh Extended Battery + Cover: Cell Phones & Accessories

I hear ya! If I could stand to hold my phone to my ear anymore (I only ever use my Jawbone for calls) I would want a little more heft to the phone. As it is, I want it as skinny as it can be. There's no doubt that HTC messed up when they paired such a puny battery with this ultra-powerful handset. Even with all the trix, you still need more juice, but I am getting by very well with an 1800MAH battery and the phone remains skinny.

Yeah, I got the same one over a month ago and I'm pretty satisfied. Although it is a little bit to hard to pop off the back (which is a good thing a suppose)

    welcome to the forums!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yes it will definitely help but the thing is that it is a huge. way too big for me and it really makes the phone look ugly. i love how my phone looks and feels. having that big battery on the back of the phone just does not fit well in my hand. but if it gives you better battery life and that is all you care about then i say go for it.

Thanks for this tip. I have been looking for an extended battery on Ebay and wasn't too impressed with the selection/price ranges. Am going to really look at this one.

    Again thanks for the post...

i wouldn't always trust those batteries... You have to really know what you're actually buying, by testing it... A lot of these Chinese manufacturers make 2300mah batteries, and put 3500mah stickers on them... i would use batteries that other people have used, and tested... don't believe everything you read on amazon
