Can anyone tell me if the EVO will "play" radar from sites like m.wunderground.com... I was really kinda surprised when i bought the Hero only to find out that it wont play animated radar from any of the sites i use. I sure hope the EVO will. My POS blackberry 8350i did it. I use weather and radar a lot while working and snowmobiling.

    Thanks

I used weatherbug, which you can find in the android market, and it played radar animations just fine. I think there are a couple of different weather apps out there that work pretty well.

I used this on the incredible which is basically the same thing internally as the evo.

Thanks for the reply. I am REALLY hoping weather underground will work.... the android market weather apps dont really compare to weather underground, IMO.

The weather channel app also does radar in motion.

I really wish someone would develop an app like this one Base Velocity This is exactly what I am looking for. It would be perfect for Android. Everyone should email them and ask them to develop for Android. I did, they said they have no immediate plans, but they did not rule it out. If enough people request it, and there is a demand for it, it will happen.

Weather underground (wunderground) is everything a weather site should be. Check it out.... thats why i hope the EVO will stream radar loops better than the Hero. I watch the weather a LOT especially in the winter. As a snowmobile fanatic and snowplowing contractor i need to know what is coming to be prepared for plowing, after I am done plowing i want to know where the deepest snow is to go riding.
