Help Evo died, will not reboot, no led light when plugged in

The phone turned off by itself and I turned it back on. This cycle happened 3 times before the phone will not turn back on. I took the battery out and put back in and nothing. I plugged the phone in to the wall and no led, and still won't turn on. I tried the factory hard reset, (volume down and power button) and still nothing. Is this something I can fix? I called Sprint and they asked me to go to a store for a rep. to assist me. I really don't have time for someone to tell me, "that's strange, never heard of that before."
