Root Evo hangs when changing batteries

I have a question concerning swapping batteries.

I carry spare batteries with me so when one dies, I can put one of the other charged batteries in. When I was using a stock rom, I had no problems. But while using several other custom roms, when I reboot after placing the new battery in, the phone hangs on the HTC splash screen.

I have tried wiping battery stats, yo no avail. I have to wipe all user data and do a factory reset before it wont hang.

Both batteries are OEM HTC batteries.

Anyone have a clue?

I also have 2 batteries.... No problems tho.... Maybe one of them is on its way out???

batteries should not have effect on the splash screen. try wiping dalvik cache and cache. also what was it doing when you pulled the battery out?
