Anyone else starting to get the shakes a little bit after reading the reviews. It hardly seems fair that we have to wait another 2 weeks to get this phone. While I like reading the reviews, I wish they would have started appearing closer to launch so I don't feel like I am going through withdraw symptoms having to wait for it to finally drop.

It's been 6 days since I pre-ordered from The Shack....nearly a week and it went by pretty quickly for me, but June 4th can't come quick enough!

Yea reading that Engadget review word for word started to make me drool.

Thankfully I am busy every weekend until the release, so it'll make the time go by quick.

It's 15 days. 2 Weeks. I think we can all handle two weeks. If not then somebody needs a hobby....

These reviews are funny to me. They really can't poo-poo the Evo even though they want to. I also think it's ridiculous to comment on the $10 cost because they don't point out cost on any other carriers individually when phones are release. Sprint's fault for linking the $10 to the Evo, but still can't find any other value comparison out there. I'm most shocked that they're not all really honing in on the $199 after rebate price. Not going to be getting the upcoming iPhones at that price - maybe the 3G & 3GS but not the new one.

I don't even like or ever watch soccer, but I'm hoping I have my Evo in hand so I can find and stream it nonstop just to show the Evo off.

Making a few unscheduled trips to NYC and Philly to check out the Wimax too, but I might not get to that until the end of June.

It just might. Game 4 of the conference finals is Saturday and depending on how long both series last, I don't see the cup finals starting before the end of next week so I think we should be in the clear for that.:D

Come to Philly. If NY is lit, it'll be an infant network. Philly is well established and you should get a better sense of the network here.

Yea, so far all the reviews I have read cant really say anything truly bad about the EVO.

Maybe battery time, but its a smartphone, where of course, they are going to put it thru heavy use for a review. Its like they want to find that one lil niche that can turn people away from the EVO but cant.

Could Steve Jobs actually be worried that the new iPhone might be out matched?

Damn cant wait to test 4G with the EVO...Im off on launch day, think I will go right into Center City to get the full effect.

I would pony up next to the Comcast Center if you're going to do that. I'm quite they slapped a transmitter on that.

Would make sense, probably put it right next to the Penn statue up there lol.

With reviews like the one on Engadget, Dan Hesse probably has a huge smile on his face....for once I think Sprint finally has a true winner.

Im almost expecting a record month for new subscribers....unless Apple pulls some miracle trick out of nowhere.

Any one else expecting Apple to try and steal the thunder before the EVO is released?

I honestly cant see people who on the fence waiting til after June 7th to buy an EVO....not with how good the reviews are so far.

I don't think Apple wants to directly acknowledge HTC or Google, which is where the attention would need to be. I certainly don't expect Apple to drive direct comparisons and reviews because the Evo's just too much phone to do that with.

I've still never believed in an iPhone-killer. But I do believe this is the first of the Google-backed Android/OEM phone combinations that Apple fears most.

I wouldn't be shocked if the whole Jobs-Schmidt spat was because Jobs began to see what was coming and just didn't like it.

Even funnier - the WPS phones have such a high point of entry that I think they're going to have to be perfectly executed or will never get off the ground.

And as I've always said before, the most shocking thing Apple, MSFT, and now HP are going to have to deal with is that a phone of such high quality and capability was intro'd at $199.

Going to make a lot of people wonder why should they fork over the typical high iPhone price of entry. WPS7 too.

In a greedy sort of way I hope the iphone is just good enough to keep people from defecting, I have WiMax here in Charlotte and want it all for myself. Other than that fact I think apple is going to start getting smacked around a bit they are already playing catch up with the EVO and on some levels the Incredible. Even if they trip out the new iPhone it would at best be on par with the EVO, but most likely be behind it in several respects. They may need to start a semi-yearly release schedule for new phones to get the lead back and thats not going to happen.

Here's hoping to an early release so we can all get our fix

I don't think steve is as worried by the evo as he is by how strong 2.2 will be and how google will improve app development, especially for games, and other multi media content.

He's a little worried - how's he going to get non-existing iPhoners to want to fork over more than $199 for new iPhones. Gotta have your heart set on iPhone or already have invested in apps as an existing owner to not consider Evo. And though he doesn't have to worry about Froyo at launch, Evo's going to be 2nd to get this phone. I don't think Sprint, HTC, or Google aren't pulling out all the stops to get the update out as soon as they can after N1.

You can get an iPhone for $199, but it won't be a top-end model with room for expansion.

Dark cloud just appeared in the Cupertino weather update:)

I have never liked listening to Jobs dig at others. I think apple devices sell because they work well, and are easy to use, not because Jobs tells me it is revolutionary. The same is true for google. Fanboys will be a small part of any market
