How does the battery life for these two devices compare?

I have a rooted EVO with an extended 3500 mAh battery, so my battery life is fine (36-48 hours unplugged before having to recharge with moderate use). I have a friend who is getting an EVO shift and was asking me about battery life for that phone. I am not sure about the shifts battery life.
If it is better than the EVO, why would that be? just curious.....thanks!

The phone's hardware are pretty much the same, except for the smaller screen, which means it will use less battery than the Evo.

I had the Shift first when I bought in the beginning of Feb. Had the Shift for three weeks and I found the battery to be great. I switched to the Evo before my 30 days were up not because I didn't like the Shift I did very much but I needed the larger screen for my aging eyes. The Shift is a great phone and as I said if it wasn't for the smaller screen I'd still have it.

So yes, the Shift's battery does last longer in my opinion than the Evo.

    Hope this helps.

I also had the Shift. For the 1.5 weeks I had it the battery life was great. I easily went a full day of moderate to heavy usage without having to charge the battery. I never tried to see how long I could go with it, but it was much better stock than the Evo.
