Thought it looked INTERESTING and I want my phone to have it.... Is this like open home? Someone have any answers?

that looks like sweeterhome. if they ever get preview 2 out and it's relatively stable sweeterhome will blow away all of the other homescreen apps in terms of customizability / functionality. Unfortunately they've been promising preview 2 for a while now :(

here's a video of that UI

Yeah, it is sweeterhome. Preview 1 is a neat concept, very promising, but it is just awful right now. Hopefully the second release will be an improvement.

Hi all! Notice some hits coming from here. Preview 2 should be out before the end of the year. The dev is working hard out to get a beta ready.

I'm having a blast using the new features and it's MUCH more stable than Preview 1. Stay tuned...

I'll give you a breakdown here. The text in the widget is all customisable (date, content, sender) down to size, colour, and style (basic Android serif, san-serif, fixed width, and italic). The "widget" block it's sitting in is simply a PNG I made in photoshop.

You could create any look you want!

PS - the thread could prolly get moved here:

Can I beta test? my email is [Check your Dms]

I'm more than willing to relay feedback, and curious as to try it. I know its farfetched asking, but if you can, pleaseeeee?

I'm with this guy, would love to beta test preview 2. Been checking back on it every other day to see if it has come out yet

Preview one is already awesome. The only problem is there's absolutely no widget support. I don't know what the plans are for Preview 2, but even if it's just P1 with widget support, it will be worthwhile to me. Right now, I can't justify using it because about 80% of my three home screens are used for widgets.

Uhhhh...wow? How come I've never heard of this before, I took a look at some of the videos and man this seems like it's going to be sooo customizable; something that I've been wanting for a while. Kinda excited to see if this thing can deliver!

If we can get widget support, I was already blown away with P1. The "Matricks" and "Dark Rising" themes were really awesome. This also allows rows of icons to move left and right exposing more shortcuts/icons on the same line if I remember correctly.

Check those two themes at: P1 (DEPRECATED) : sweeterskins.net

Wow, that looks great.

I've used just about every UI app in the market and finally settled on GDE (due to it's speed and versatility).

But this thing looks like it has amazing flexibility.

How is it on lag?

I'd like to try out Preview 1 of Sweeter Home, but it's not showing up in the market for me (Eris) and the only link on the sweeter home website to download it, takes me to cryket, which is no longer around. Anyone have an alternative?

I think the dev has removed preview 1 anticipating getting a beta out publicly soon.

Widgets ARE supported in P2. I've notice _some_ clocks don't update correctly though, not sure what's up with that, prolly a weird Android thing. All other widgets work fine though. And MUCH more flexibility with layering and placement of widgets too... including targetting widgets with springboards (the widget 'pops up').

Stability/lag is fine. See here:
