Support Exchange no longer getting email

    Hi all,

    Second time this has happened since I installed Froyo. For no apparent reaason, the Evo will just stop getting email from my Exchange account. No settings were changed or anything.

    The only way to get it back is to reset the phone to factory settings.

    Am I missing something obvious here?

    Have you tried just deleting the account and re-adding it instead of resetting? I have many Android based phones connecting to my Exchange server and have very few issues, certainly none like this.

    Does this occur on any regular frequency? Do you have policies on your ActiveSync configuration in Exchange?

    Asa, it happens pretty often. No clue on the policy question, as I don't administer the exchange server.

    Try contacting your Exchange Administrator. See which version of Exchange they're running. They can maybe check the server's log if you give them an approximate date/time the syncing stopped. I don't have any problems with Froyo and my Exchange 2007 server.

    I set up my exchange account on my evo, and everything worked perfectly for a few hours. All of a sudden, it stopped syncing. When I try to sync, I get a "cannot connect message, and under the email settings, it says :connection timeout".

    If I connect to WIFI, everything works perfectly. I tried a reset, I deleted the email account, and when I try to reinstall the account, it does not verify the settings. However, if I reinstall under WIFI, everything is great...for a few hours until this repeats itself.

    Any ideas?
