hi, I have midnight bowling installed, and when I play it works, but when I stop (press home button) I get the game sound after a while, so it is still running in the background. There is no exit button in this game, so how do I stop it then? cause it's eating my battery alive :)

Generally you can't close apps as android is supposed to manage all that.

I guess though, that if this isn't happening you might need to install an app killer.... don't know what anyone else thinks?

Sounds like a poorly coded app. You'd need to use a task killer to close it then yeah.
