Expandable Apps?

    New guy here. I've seen a few screenshots with various apps having an 'expanded' look to them on the home screen. The first that comes to mind is Pandora. I've seen screenshots with a forward, pause / play and back buttons.

    Are these app specific or are there options to manipulate them in the settings elsewhere? In the case of Pandora, I haven't been able to find out how to gvet that look.

    Do you mean widgets? Long press an empty spot on your desktop and select widgets.

    Sounds like you're just talking about apps with widgets. Pandora has one, as do most of the other internet radio apps (Last.FM, iMeem, Slacker) along with a large amount of other apps. Some are widget only, some had widgets in addition to a full executable application interface.
